What We Do

We assemble and distribute Dignity Backpacks filled with essential self-care items to Texans experiencing homelessness. Each Dignity Backpack contains toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, socks, and other hygiene and dignity essentials that help individuals maintain their cleanliness and self-respect when they have few belongings.

Every backpack also includes a handwritten note affirming the recipient's worth—a small gesture that can have a profound impact.

Why It Matters

For someone stepping out of treatment, finding housing after homelessness, or sleeping outside, a simple Dignity Backpack can restore a sense of normalcy and hope. It means having something that belongs to them—something clean, warm, and given with care.
